About Us

The name has a double meaning: the OS stands for both ‘Operating Systems’ and ‘Open Source’, and the GUI stands for ‘Graphical User Interface’.
OSGUI.com website is community driven with a focused on exploring everything about Open Source Software and Operating Systems on any computing hardware platform. The site serves to provide a exciting dynamic multimedia portal which creates a place for people to share ideas, videos, information, news, screenshots, and much more…

The site is targeted at existing Microsoft Windows users, new and experienced GNU/Linux users, Apple Mac users, and computer users of all other types of Operating Systems.

Well, we’ve decided to change things up here at osgui.com. A lot has changed over the past 10 years, and it’s about time that we straightened up. It’s time to talk about other things. I know BSD will always have a place in our hearts, but you do have to remember that even COBOL died.

Hated to go there, but I just did. Thanks for visiting the site, by the way. Hope to see you in the comments section!

  1. Found your website from the YouTube video Top 6 Reasons Why not to use GNU Free OS L I N U X S U C K S. I enjoyed what you had to say about the Linux scene. Hope you are doing well. I noticed that this site and that YouTube channel have not been updated recently.

  2. Hi Tim Mullins / OSGUI

Tim, I always thought you would return and contribute to the conversation about BSD, Linux, Opens Source Software… Tech in general. Please consider stepping back in and sharing your knowledge about Open Source Software. Hit me up if you won’t to discuss things further. Tim, you are sorely missed; I hope all is well. I hope you still return to your site to read comments. 🙂

    Warmest Regards,
