Discription: OS GUI is all about everything to do with technology, the name means a few things... Open Source, Operating Systems, & Graphical User Interfaces.

Purpose statement: community driven with a focused on exploring everything about Open Source Software and Operating Systems be it PC, Mac, Linux or embedded devices. We also hope to expose many Open Source Application, & Information Technology - what ever it's platform.

Site serves to provide a community portal for existing Microsoft Windows users, new and experienced Linux users, Apple Mac users, and users of all other types of Operating Systems, to a place for people to share ideas, information, news, screenshots, video's, and much more...

I recently attended two seminars, one by an organisation called AIMIA who presented a two hour forum exploring the future of search engine marketing trends in Australia and abroad. The other was by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C Web standards group). The speakers talked about trends that may shape the face of the Internet. The AIMIA conference main agenda items to discuss they where 'Use of Mobile Internet", Search Engine Optimisation technique, Web Marketing, and convergence.

Hi, I'm the OS GUI website administrator and creator, Tim. I am happy to announce that I have renewed interest in making this site awesome, popular, and full of useful original content. I also have 3 other website projects I am currently working on all at the same time.

It might take me months to get all 4 of my websites completely finished to the point where they are perfect. The task of doing finishing all these sites to the point that I can totally be proud of them and focus on creating exciting new original content is very difficult.

To help me focus I have created some rules that I will follow in order to be effective.

New and Improved website development Policy & Procedures for re-building my website portals.

• Only publish content that is completely original as possible. If information and ideas are taken from another website then it must be re-worked and reworded to be at least 50% different.

• Only publish Content Sections, Features, Links, & Abilities that work correctly after testing and have original content placed in it.

• Focus on creating Original Content

• Focus on creating new Original Graphics

• Don't worry or stress when a few bugs come up in the portal software, they will be resolved in time and pay attention to what the user experience will be.

• Use cutting-edge new Open Source software to create the site and content.

• Test things in development environment as well as on the live Internet.

• Promote websites only after they are ready.

• Create new original Video's for sites & use the power of YouTube.

• Use the awesome power of Google to promote and fund.
